The Fortinet FortiSwitch FS-424E-FIBER is a full-fiber 1U access switch featuring 24 x SFP 1000Base-T ports and 4 x SFP+ 1/10GbE uplinks. Its switching capacity is 128 Gbps at 204 Mpps with 1 µs latency. It supports up to 4,000 VLANs, 512 ACL entries, 64 routing entries, and 15 MSTP instances, all with 1 GB of RAM and a USB 2.0 port.
The FS-424E-FIBER targets industrial environments, edge datacenters, or any site requiring fiber connections at the network edge without copper RJ-45 ports. Compared to the FS-424E, it replaces the 24 copper ports with fiber SFP ports, making this model ideal for pure optical infrastructures or long-distance rack deployments.
