Cisco Nexus 2248TP-E - Fabric Extender

The Cisco Nexus 2248TP-E (N2K-C2248TF-E) is a 1U L2 Fabric Extender offering 48 x 10GBase-T RJ-45 ports and 4 x 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink ports. Unlike the Nexus 2348UPQ (48 SFP+ ports with 40G QSFP+ uplinks), this model relies on RJ-45 copper cabling for host connections and 10G SFP+ uplinks to the parent switch.

The N2K-C2248TF-E is designed for data center deployments looking to extend 10GBase-T copper connectivity from a parent Nexus 5000/7000 switch without modifying existing cabling. Fully managed from the parent switch via NX-OS, it supports VLAN, ACL, QoS, IGMP snooping and LACP. NEBS Level 3 certified, it is suitable for carrier-grade environments.
