The Cisco Nexus 2348UPQ is a 1U L2 Fabric Extender (FEX) featuring 48 x 1/10 Gbps SFP/SFP+ ports and 6 x 40 Gbps QSFP+ uplink ports, providing 480 Gbps of full-duplex bandwidth. It supports Data Center Bridging (DCB), vPC, CoS, ISSU, and includes 3 hot-swappable fans and a hot-swappable power supply.
Like all Nexus 2000 FEX units, the 2348UPQ is not a standalone switch: it is managed from a parent Nexus 5000/7000 switch via its 6 x 40G QSFP+ uplinks, extending SFP+ access capacity without adding an additional control plane. Its NEBS Level 3 certification qualifies it for demanding carrier-grade environments. Genuine Cisco hardware, manufacturer warranty.
