The SFP-25G-BX40U-I is a Cisco 25 Gbps bidirectional (BiDi) SFP28 module for upstream transmission, compliant with IEEE 25GBASE-BR20 and 25GBASE-BR40, for links up to 40 km over single-mode fiber (SMF) via a simplex LC (UPC) connector. Its industrial temperature range of -40 to 85 °C and single-strand fiber transmission make it a cost-effective component for long-reach 25G deployments.
This upstream BiDi module pairs with the SFP-25G-BX40D-I (downstream) to form a complete 25G solution over simplex fiber at 40 km. It targets access operators and service providers migrating to 25G while optimizing the use of existing fiber assets. Genuine Cisco hardware, manufacturer warranty.
