The SFP-10G-AOC7M from Cisco is a pre-terminated 7 m SFP+ 10 Gbps Active Optical Cable (AOC), compliant with the SFP+ MSA SFF-8431 standard. This active optical cable provides lightweight, flexible 10G connectivity, bridging the gap between copper DACs suited for short distances and SR transceivers for longer reaches — with the added benefit of immunity to electromagnetic interference.
