QSFP-40G-BD-RX — QSFP+ 40 Gbps

The Cisco QSFP-40G-BD-RX is a 40 Gbps BiDi (bidirectional) QSFP+ module over multimode fiber with a reach of 150 m. Compliant with the IEEE 40GBASE-SR-BiDi standard, it uses a duplex LC (UPC) connector, transmitting both directions over a single MMF fiber pair. Its temperature range of 10 to 70 °C is suited to air-conditioned server rooms. The 150 m MMF reach sets it apart from SR4 modules with MPO connectors, which reach 100 m on OM3.
