The GLC-LX-SM-RGD from Cisco is a ruggedised Gigabit SFP transceiver compliant with IEEE 1000BASE-LX/LH, for single-mode fibre links up to 10 km. Its extended operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C clearly differentiates it from the GLC-ZX-SM-RGD (70 km) and from commercial modules: it is built for installations in industrial or outdoor environments where climatic conditions are severe. LC UPC connector, duplex fibre cable.
Ideal for short-reach campus or inter-building links (up to 10 km) in environments subject to wide temperature swings — street cabinets, enclosures in industrial zones, production sites.
