The GLC-BX80-D-I from Cisco is the downstream counterpart (D = Downstream) of the GLC-BX80-U-I: a ruggedised BiDi 1 Gbps SFP transceiver over single-mode fibre, capable of reaching 80 km on a single strand. It operates in tandem with the upstream module to establish an 80 km full-duplex BiDi link, saving one fibre strand compared to a traditional duplex solution.
