The Cisco CWDM-GBIC-1550 is a 1 Gbps GBIC transceiver over single-mode fiber, operating at 1550 nm with an exceptional reach of 100 km. Fitted with an SC connector (PC or UPC) in duplex configuration, it integrates seamlessly into GBIC-compatible Cisco chassis for long-reach deployments over SMF infrastructure.
It is particularly well suited to carrier networks or inter-site links requiring reliable Gigabit transport without signal regeneration. The 1550 nm wavelength also allows compatibility with EDFA amplification systems on certain optical paths. Genuine Cisco module, manufacturer warranty.
