The JNP-SFP-25G-SR is a Juniper SFP28 transceiver to the 25GBASE-SR standard, transmitting 25 Gbps over multimode fiber up to 100 meters with a Duplex LC connector. Over MMF, this 100 m reach covers virtually all intra-datacenter distances, where the JNP-SFP-25G-LR SMF variant would be over-specified for a short link.
It is built for 25G intra-datacenter deployments on existing MMF cabling, connecting ToR switches to servers via short optical fiber runs. The JNP-SFP-25G-SR offers an excellent performance-to-cost ratio for migrations to 25G over multimode fiber. Genuine Juniper hardware, manufacturer warranty.
