Convoseal Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Convoseal works entirely on your iPhone or iPad. We do not collect, receive or store your messages, screenshots, videos or any personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
Who is responsible
The publisher of Convoseal is OPTINOC, SASU, 10 allée Louis Breguet, 94310 Orly, France (SIREN 850 573 932). Because the app does not send your data to us, we do not hold any of it. For the few data processed by the website, OPTINOC is the data controller. Contact: contact@optinoc.com.
Your conversations stay on your iPhone or iPad
Convoseal reads the screen recordings, screenshots or export files you give it, recognizes the text with Apple’s on-device text recognition, and builds your record (PDF, CSV, TXT, HTML, annexes and certificate) on your iPhone or iPad. The app contains no network code to send your content: it works offline, and no message, image or video is uploaded to us or to any third party.
Temporary working files (extracted frames, copies of imported media) are created in the app’s private storage during the analysis and removed afterwards.
Photos access
With your permission, the app reads your Photos library (recent screen recordings and screenshots) to find the conversation you want to export. You can also pick files yourself instead. After an export, the app can offer to delete the original recordings or screenshots from Photos. This option can be turned off in the app’s options, and the deletion only happens after you confirm in the window shown by iOS; deleted items go to “Recently Deleted”.
Screen recording
Convoseal includes an iOS screen recording extension (ReplayKit). You start it yourself from the iOS recording picker, and it only records video (no audio) to a file in a container shared between the app and its extension on your iPhone or iPad. The file is then moved into the app for analysis. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Share extension and files
If you share a chat export file (WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE) to Convoseal from another app, a share extension copies it to the shared container on your iPhone or iPad so the app can open it.
Storage of your records
Records you create are saved in the app’s private storage on your iPhone or iPad (Application Support) and nowhere else. You can delete a record at any time in the app. Deleting the app removes them. When you share or save a record (AirDrop, Files, Mail…), you do so yourself through the iOS share sheet, and the recipient or service you choose then applies its own rules.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We do not receive your payment details. The app keeps on your iPhone or iPad, in the Keychain, the number of export credits you have and the identifiers of the transactions already credited, so that your credits are not lost if you reinstall the app on the same device. The Keychain item is not synced to other devices. Refunds are handled by Apple.
iCloud sync of purchase usage
So that your purchases work on all your devices signed in to the same Apple Account (iPhone, iPad), the app synchronizes through iCloud, using Apple’s key-value storage, only usage counters for your purchases: numbers such as how many Single Record credits and how many monthly-plan records have been used on each device. These counters contain no conversation, image, file name or content, and no personal identifier (each device is represented by a random identifier created by the app). They are stored in your own iCloud space and are not sent to us; we cannot read them. If iCloud is unavailable or turned off for the app, the counters simply stay on the device and synchronize later. Your conversations and records are never synchronized.
No analytics, no notifications, no tracking
Convoseal contains no analytics or advertising component, does not use an advertising identifier, does not track you across apps or websites, does not require an account and does not send notifications.
Children
Convoseal is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party resources: fonts and images are hosted on the same server. Our host, OVH SAS (2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France), keeps standard technical server logs (IP address, date and time, pages requested) for security and operation, for the period set by its own policy.
Your rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability regarding your personal data. Since the app does not collect your data, these rights mainly concern the website logs and any email you send us. To exercise them, write to contact@optinoc.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
Changes
If the app or this policy changes in a way that affects your data, we will update this page and its date.
