The Extreme Networks EN-SLX-9030-48S-4C is the fiber-optic SFP+ version of the SLX 9030 switch, shipped without power supply or fans to allow free choice of airflow direction. It offers 48 x 1/10 Gbps SFP+ ports and 4 x 100/40 Gbps QSFP28 ports, for a switching capacity of 1.76 Tbps and a latency of 800 µs. Unlike the EN-SLX-9030-48T-4C model which uses copper RJ-45 ports, this -48S variant is entirely fiber-based, suited to longer intra-datacenter distances.
