The Juniper Networks EX4600 is a 1U switch from the EX series, with a switching capacity of 1.44 Tbps and a performance of 1.07 Bpps. It offers 24 x 10GbE SFP+ ports and 4 x 40GbE QSFP+ ports (with breakout support), along with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, a 64 GB SSD, and 100 GB of flash memory. It supports OSPF, BGP, MPLS, BFD, VXLAN, and up to 128,000 IPv4 routes under JUNOS.
The EX4600 targets data centers and enterprise network cores requiring high-density 10G connectivity with 40G uplinks for aggregation. Its MPLS capability and support for 128 LAG groups make it a robust aggregation switch, capable of serving as a leaf or spine in a Clos fabric architecture.
