The Juniper MX480 is a modular 8U router capable of reaching up to 3.84 Tbps of throughput. It provides 6 MPC slots and 2 routing engines, with 4 AC or DC power supplies in an N+1 redundant configuration. Running Junos OS, it supports the full range of IP/MPLS, BGP, EVPN, and segment routing capabilities required by provider core networks and large aggregation environments.
The MX480 targets mid-size operators or large enterprises looking for a core router offering greater capacity than the MX240, with additional line card slots. It is well suited for provider edge deployments and regional aggregation nodes. Genuine Juniper hardware, manufacturer warranty.
