The FN-TRAN-SFP2-LX is a Fortinet SFP module running at 2.5 Gbps, compliant with the 2.5GBASE-LX standard. Unlike the FN-TRAN-SFP2-SX (300 m over MMF), this transceiver operates over single-mode fiber and extends the reach to 20 km via LC duplex connector, for long-distance Multi-Gig campus links.
It addresses the needs of large campus networks or multi-building enterprises looking to deploy 2.5G over SMF without migrating to 10G. The 20 km reach makes it the ideal solution for access or distribution links between remote buildings equipped with Fortinet Multi-Gig switches. Operating range: 0-70 °C.
