The FN-CABLE-QSFP28-4SFP28-5 is a Fortinet passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) breakout cable, converting one QSFP28 100G port into four independent SFP28 25G links. At 5 m in length, it is suited for intra-datacenter or adjacent-rack interconnects, eliminating any active transceiver. Passive copper DAC technology ensures minimal power consumption and near-zero latency between devices.
This 5 m breakout cable is the long-reach variant of the FN-CABLE-QSFP28-4SFP28 family, preferred when the equipment to be connected is located in racks further apart within the same row. It is ideal for Fortinet leaf-spine architectures where a 100G switch needs to feed four 25G servers or blades. Genuine hardware, manufacturer warranty.
