The FN-TRAN-SFP+GC is a Fortinet copper SFP+ module with an RJ-45 interface providing 10GBASE-T connectivity up to 30 m over standard network cabling. It installs directly into an SFP+ port and converts the link to 10G copper, with no fiber cabling required, for short-distance connections in server rooms.
With its 30 m reach, this transceiver is suited for intra-datacenter connections over existing copper cabling (Cat. 6A minimum), particularly between a switch and a server in the same technical room. More affordable than a fiber-based infrastructure, it is ideal for small Fortinet IT rooms. Operating range: 0-70 °C. Genuine Fortinet hardware, manufacturer warranty.
