The Cisco N3K-C3172PQ is a 1U Nexus 3000 switch offering 48 x 1/10G SFP+ ports and 6 x 40G QSFP+ uplinks, running Cisco NX-OS with sub-microsecond latency. Unlike the copper-port N3K-C3172TQ, this model uses SFP+ transceivers for all 48 downlink ports.
The all-optical SFP+ connectivity of the N3K-C3172PQ makes it suited to data centers where fiber is preferred for server connections, offering greater immunity to electromagnetic interference.
