The Cisco Catalyst C8550-G2 (SKU: C8550-G2) opens the Catalyst 8500-G2 series, dedicated to data center and high-density SD-WAN environments. Available in a 1U form factor, it embeds 8 x SFP+ 10G ports, 4 x SFP28 25G ports, and 2 x QSFP28 100G ports, with a throughput of 50 Gbps under IOS-XE. The presence of 100G ports makes it particularly well suited for DCI (Data Center Interconnect) links between sites.
