The Cisco Catalyst C8161-G2 is the highest-performance model in the desktop 8100-G2 series, with 12 x 1G RJ45 ports and 4 x SFP+ 10G ports for 1.5 Gbps throughput. Doubling the SFP+ 10G ports compared to the C8151-G2 gives it the ability to handle multiple simultaneous 10G WAN links or to create LACP aggregates for increased redundancy.
The C8161-G2 (SKU: C8161-G2) targets demanding mid-market environments and multi-site SD-WAN architectures where WAN path diversity is critical.
