The L-C3850-12-S-E activates the IP Services tier (tier S) as a perpetual license on Cisco Catalyst 3850 12-port switches. Despite the compact 12-port form factor, this license unlocks full dynamic routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), advanced QoS and multicast capabilities, turning this switch into an autonomous routing device suited to distributed topologies.

It is particularly well suited to remote sites, retail locations or edge environments requiring full IP routing capabilities on a low-port-density switch.
