SR and LR reference list

Use this list to locate candidate part numbers. It does not replace the equipment compatibility matrix.

  • Cisco — SR: SFP-10G-SR; LR: SFP-10G-LR.
  • Cisco Meraki — SR: MA-SFP-10GB-SR; LR: MA-SFP-10GB-LR.
  • Juniper — SR: EX-SFP-10GE-SR; LR: EX-SFP-10GE-LR.
  • HPE Aruba Networking — SR: J9150D; LR: J9151E.
  • Fortinet — SR: FN-TRAN-SFP+SR; LR: FN-TRAN-SFP+LR.
  • Palo Alto Networks — SR: PAN-SFP-PLUS-SR; LR: PAN-SFP-PLUS-LR.
  • WatchGuard — SR: WG8583; select an LR optic only from the list for the relevant Firebox.
  • Extreme Networks — generation-specific references; start with the platform matrix.

The same standard does not prove host support

10GBASE-SR and 10GBASE-LR describe Ethernet optical interfaces. They do not prove that host firmware accepts every module implementing that interface. OPTINOC compatibility pages must therefore link each relationship to a manufacturer source and an exact equipment model.

Cisco Meraki is a separate catalog family

Meraki references should not be merged into the conventional Cisco category. The MA-SFP family has its own identifiers, and Meraki publishes the MS, MX and Meraki-managed Catalyst platforms associated with each accessory.

How to use the list for a quote

Provide the brand and exact equipment reference, followed by distance and fiber type. If you already know the optic reference, include it; otherwise OPTINOC can identify the candidate from platform documentation before confirming the quote.

Source constructeur : Cisco Meraki SFP and stacking accessories.

Source constructeur : WatchGuard supported SFP and SFP+ transceivers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this list a compatibility matrix?

No. It maps optical families to manufacturer part numbers. Final compatibility must be checked against the exact equipment documentation.

Why does Meraki use different references from Cisco?

Meraki publishes its own MA-SFP range and a dedicated compatibility list for the MS, MX and other platforms named in its documentation.

Why can one vendor have several SR part numbers?

Product generation, temperature range, certification, power and target platform can result in several part numbers for the same optical family.
