The Polycom RealPresence Trio 8500 (part number Trio8500) is an IP conference phone with a 5-inch display (1280x720 px), a 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet port and Bluetooth connectivity (HFP and A2DP profiles). It supports the G.722, G.711, G.729ab, iLBC, Siren, G.722.1, G.722.1C and Opus voice codecs, with HD Voice, AJB and PLC. Network protocols include TFTP, HTTPS, SRTP and LLDP-MED, ensuring secure integration in enterprise IP environments.
Compared to the Trio 8800, the Poly Trio 8500 does not include built-in Wi-Fi, making it the right fit for meeting rooms with fixed network cabling and a focus on cost control. Its Bluetooth connectivity and HD display nonetheless make it a modern conferencing hub, compatible with the Polycom Visual+ accessory for video conferencing.
