Its 1.8 Gbps firewall throughput, 850 Mbps threat prevention throughput, and 250 Mbps IPsec VPN throughput, combined with a capacity of 250,000 sessions, clearly position it above the 5508-X for mid-market deployments. Management is handled via CSDM, FMC, or Cisco Defense Orchestrator.
