Principe

• Label-switching au lieu de IP routing hop-by-hop
• LSP (Label-Switched Path) : chemin préétabli
• LDP or RSVP-TE or Segment Routing for distribution labels
• Encapsulation : ajout label entre header L2 and IP

Use case

• L3VPN : VRF par client, isolation multi-tenant
• L2VPN : émulation Ethernet point-à-point or multipoint
• Traffic Engineering : LSPs explicites with bandwidth réservée
• Fast Reroute (FRR) : failover <50ms
