The SFP-GE-T from Cisco is a tri-speed copper SFP transceiver (10/100/1000 Mbps) compliant with IEEE 1000BASE-T, enabling an RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet interface to be added to any compatible SFP slot. Its reach of 100 metres over Cat5e or Cat6A cable makes it a versatile module for short copper links, avoiding fibre deployment when copper infrastructure is already in place. Operating temperature range: -5 to +85 °C.
This module is particularly valued by network administrators who need to connect legacy equipment or workstations directly to switches equipped only with SFP ports.
