The SFP-10G-BX40D-I from Cisco is a BiDi SFP+ 10 Gbps transceiver for single-strand single-mode fiber (SMF), compliant with the IEEE 10GBASE-BX standard. It delivers a reach of 40 km via an LC (UPC) connector in downstream transmission mode, designed to operate in tandem with a BX40U-I module to establish a full-duplex 10G link over a single optical fiber strand.
This module is the preferred solution for ISPs, local authorities, and enterprises deploying long-distance inter-site links while cutting fiber consumption in half.
