QSFP-40G-SR4-S

The QSFP-40G-SR4-S is a Cisco QSFP+ 40 Gbps transceiver certified to the IEEE 40GBASE-SR4 standard, designed for short-reach transmissions up to 150 m over multimode fiber (MMF) via an MPO-12 UPC connector on parallel fiber. The SR4 standard uses four simultaneous optical lanes at 10 Gbps each, requiring an 8- or 12-fiber cable to achieve the aggregated 40 Gbps throughput. Operating range: 0 to 70 °C.

Unlike the QSFP-40G-SR-BD BiDi module using duplex LC cable, this SR4 module targets datacenters equipped with MPO trunk cabling for their short intra-room or inter-rack 40G links.
