The QSFP-100G-B40U-I is the upstream counterpart of the Cisco QSFP28 BiDi 100 Gbps transceiver over simplex single-mode fiber at 40 km. Like its B40D companion, it uses an LC (UPC) connector on a single fiber strand, but transmits on a dedicated upstream wavelength, enabling paired operation with the B40D. Its industrial rating of -40 to +85 °C ensures uninterrupted service under all conditions.
This module is essential in long-distance BiDi architectures where transceiver pairs are deployed in mirror configuration at each end of the link. It targets operators, data centers, and enterprises optimizing fiber cabling on 40 km, 100 Gbps links. Genuine Cisco hardware, manufacturer warranty.
