The Cisco OSFP-800G-DR8 is an 800 Gbps OSFP transceiver over single-mode fiber, reaching up to 500 m. Like the OSFP-800G-DR8P, it covers IEEE 800GBASE-DR8, 400GBASE-DR4, 200G-DR2 and 100GBASE-DR standards for maximum versatility. Its key difference is its dual MPO-12 (APC) parallel fiber interface, replacing the single-body MPO-16 connector, which directly influences the choice of cabling on the installation side.
