GLC-SX-MMD

The GLC-SX-MMD is a Cisco 1 Gbps SFP module for multimode fiber, reaching up to 1000 meters via an LC (UPC) connector on a duplex cable. Compliant with the IEEE 1000BASE-SX standard, it is designed for intra-campus or intra-datacenter interconnections over MMF and operates across an extended range of -5 to 85°C. Its 1000 m reach on OM3/OM4 MMF fiber makes it particularly well suited to large-footprint buildings.

The GLC-SX-MMD is the preferred Gigabit solution for connecting floor distribution frames or technical rooms a few hundred meters apart using existing multimode fiber infrastructure.
