The Cisco GLC-FE-100ZX is a 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet SFP module for single-mode fiber (SMF) with an LC UPC connector, compliant with the IEEE 100BASE-ZX standard. Its 80 km reach makes it the longest-distance Fast Ethernet module in the Cisco lineup, differentiating it from the GLC-FE-100EX (40 km) for metropolitan or regional links requiring even greater coverage.
This transceiver is suited for long-distance Fast Ethernet links, for example connecting remote sites or edge access equipment without the need for signal regeneration. The operating range of 0 to 70 °C is appropriate for network cabinets in technical rooms. Genuine Cisco hardware, manufacturer warranty.
