The Cisco GLC-FE-100FX is a Fast Ethernet 100 Mbps SFP transceiver for multimode fiber (MMF), featuring an LC/UPC connector and IEEE 100BASE-FX compliance. Its 2 km reach over multimode fiber and operating temperature range of -5 to 85°C set it apart from the GLC-GE-100FX with broader thermal tolerance, suited to less controlled environments such as technical cabinets or light industrial sites. Duplex fiber cabling ensures stable bidirectional transmission.

This module is well suited to network integrators deploying Fast Ethernet connectivity over MMF infrastructure in facilities with moderate thermal constraints.
