GLC-FE-100EX — SFP 100 Mbps

The Cisco GLC-FE-100EX is a 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet SFP transceiver for single-mode fiber (SMF) with an LC UPC connector, certified to the IEEE 100BASE-EX standard. With a reach of 40 km, it occupies the middle ground between short-reach variants and the ZX reference (80 km), offering a strong balance between reach and optical budget for metropolitan links or interconnections between nearby sites.

This module is suited to Fast Ethernet networks in extended campus or urban interconnection scenarios where a 40 km reach is sufficient without the added cost of very-long-distance modules.
