GLC-BX80-U-I — SFP 1 Gbps

The GLC-BX80-U-I from Cisco is a ruggedised BiDi 1 Gbps SFP transceiver for single-mode fibre, reaching up to 80 km over a single fibre strand using WDM technology. This module handles the upstream direction (U = Upstream) of the link and is differentiated from the GLC-BX40-U-I by its double reach, addressing the needs of long-haul inter-city or long-distance backhaul links. Industrial temperature range: -40 to +85 °C, LC UPC connector.

This transceiver is adopted by access and transport network operators who want to maximise the use of their existing single-mode fibre infrastructure over distances of up to 80 km.
