The SP-CABLE-FS-QSFP+5 is a Fortinet QSFP+ passive direct attach copper (DAC) cable for 40 Gigabit Ethernet connections over twinax copper. At 5 m, it is the longest option in the SP passive lineup (1 m, 3 m, 5 m), with no optical conversion and no associated latency overhead. Integrated QSFP+ connectors at both ends make it ready to use as soon as it is inserted into compatible slots.
This 5 m cable suits connections between equipment located in different but nearby racks — typically linking an aggregation FortiSwitch to a server or another switch in a compact datacenter.
