The S2P31A is an HPE Aruba 10 Gbps C-Class SFP+ transceiver, compliant with the 10GBASE-LR standard over single-mode fiber. With a reach of 10 kilometers and an LC duplex connector, it supports 10G inter-building or inter-equipment-room links over distances typical of campus or metropolitan networks.

Unlike the S2P32A ER (40 km), the S2P31A targets campus or inter-data center links over distances up to 10 km.
