The PAN-SFP-PLUS-ER-BXU-80 is a Palo Alto Networks 10 Gbps BiDi SFP+ transceiver in the U (upstream) direction, designed for single-mode LC simplex links up to 80 km compliant with the 10GBASE-BX-U standard. It forms a complementary pair with the BXD-80 model (D direction): together, they establish a full-duplex 10G link over a single SMF strand, cutting the required fiber count in half over metropolitan distances. The operating range is 0 to 70 degrees C.
Used on the upstream transmission side, the PAN-SFP-PLUS-ER-BXU-80 targets long-distance connections between remote sites up to 80 km on Palo Alto Networks devices.
