The PAN-QSFP-40GBASE-LR4 is a Palo Alto Networks QSFP+ module delivering 40 Gbps over single-mode fiber via LC duplex, with a reach of 10 km compliant with the 40GBASE-LR4 standard. This transceiver differs from the BiDi SR-BD model through its support for single-mode fiber and a reach ten times that of the SR4 variant, achieved by multiplexing four LR4 sub-channels over the same fiber pair. The operating range is 0 to 70 degrees C.
