The FN-TRAN-SFP2-SX is a Fortinet SFP transceiver running at 2.5 Gbps, compliant with the 2.5GBASE-SX standard. It operates over multimode fiber with an LC duplex connector and provides a reach of 300 m — bridging the gap between standard Gigabit modules and 10G solutions for Fortinet Multi-Gig equipment with SFP slots.
This module targets Wi-Fi 6/6E deployments and high-bandwidth user access scenarios requiring a gradual bandwidth upgrade without replacing the existing MMF infrastructure.
