The FN-TRAN-SFP+LR is the standard Fortinet SFP+ module for long-range 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. Compliant with the 10GBASE-LR standard, it delivers 10 Gbps over single-mode fiber with an LC duplex connector up to 10 km, covering the vast majority of inter-building and campus interconnection requirements.
This transceiver is the versatile reference for any Fortinet equipment with SFP+ slots in a campus or extended data center deployment. Unlike the ZR (80 km) or ER (40 km), the LR targets the 2-to-10 km distances most commonly encountered in enterprise environments. Operating temperature range: 0-70 °C.
