The FN-TRAN-SFP+GC-T80 is a Fortinet copper SFP+ transceiver with an RJ-45 connector, enabling 10GBASE-T operation over Cat. 6A/7 Ethernet cable up to 80 m. It converts an SFP+ port into a 10G copper port, offering a reach of 80 m — significantly greater than the 30 m of the FN-TRAN-SFP+GC variant.
This module is aimed at network administrators who want to reuse existing structured copper cabling (Cat. 6A or Cat. 7) for 10G links without deploying fiber. Ideal for connecting servers or NAS units located several tens of meters away from a Fortinet SFP+ switch. Operating range: 0-70 °C. Genuine Fortinet hardware, manufacturer warranty.
