The FN-TRAN-SFP-1BD40 is the Fortinet BiDi Downstream SFP module that complements the FN-TRAN-SFP-1BU40. Compliant with the 1000BASE-BX-D standard, it operates at 1 Gbps over a single strand of single-mode fiber via LC simplex connector up to 40 km, forming the Downstream receiving end of the BiDi pair. Both modules must always be used together.
Like the 1BU40, this transceiver targets deployments where fiber economy is critical: links between operator central offices, antenna connections, or remote site links up to 40 km. Its distinguishing characteristic from the 1BU40 is its Downstream role (1000BASE-BX-D). Operating range: 0-70 °C. Genuine Fortinet hardware, manufacturer warranty.
