The FN-TRAN-QSFP28-BIDI is Fortinet's QSFP28 bidirectional module for short-reach datacenter applications. Compliant with the 100GBASE-BIDI-SR standard in the commercial temperature range (0 to 70 °C), it delivers 100 Gbps over multimode fiber up to 100 m using a single LC duplex strand. Compared to the -BIDI-I variant, it targets controlled-temperature environments and does not require an extended industrial temperature range.

Ideal for increasing top-of-rack interconnect density in modern datacenters, this Fortinet transceiver cuts the number of fibers needed per link in half compared to a standard SR4 module with an MPO connector.
