FN-TRAN-QSFP+SR — 40GE QSFP+ transceiver, short range for systems with QSFP+ Slots

The FN-TRAN-QSFP+SR is Fortinet's short-reach parallel-architecture QSFP+ transceiver, compliant with the 40GBASE-SR4 standard. It transmits 40 Gbps over multimode fiber up to 150 m using 4 simultaneous channels on an MPO connector — fundamentally distinguishing it from the FN-TRAN-QSFP+SR-BIDI, which operates in bidirectional mode on a simple LC duplex connector. The MPO connector enables a particularly high bandwidth density per fiber.

This module is dedicated to datacenters equipped with MPO pre-terminated multimode fiber cabling, where high-density patch panels are already in place.
