The FN-CABLE-SFP+5 is a Fortinet SFP+ passive direct attach cable (DAC) providing 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity without an optical module. With a length of 5 m, this copper DAC cable supports 10 Gbps throughput and plugs directly into two SFP+ or SFP/SFP+ ports, eliminating any electro-optical conversion.
This cost-effective solution is ideally suited for intra-rack or short inter-rack links in data centers: switch-to-server connections, TOR aggregation. The 5 m length provides greater cabling flexibility than the 1 m and 3 m variants for connections between adjacent racks. Operating temperature range: 0-70 °C.
