The Cisco Catalyst C9600-SUP-1 (SKU: C9600-SUP-1) is the primary supervisor module for the Catalyst 9600 chassis, providing a switching capacity of 9.6 Tbps and a forwarding rate of 3 Bpps, with 2.4 Tbps per slot. It includes 16 GB of RAM, 16 GB of flash, and a 2 GHz processor. Management interfaces include mini-USB, RJ-45, 2 x USB 3.0 and an SFP+ port. It supports VXLAN, LISP, MACsec, Zero-touch provisioning, MPLS, StackWise Virtual and SSO failover for high availability.
Unlike the dual-slot C9600-SUP-1/2 variant, the C9600-SUP-1 installs in a single supervisor slot, freeing an additional slot for a line card.
