The Palo Alto Networks PA-5445 is a 3U variant of the PA-5400 series optimized for connected cloud providers, MSSPs and large-scale SD-WAN deployments. Its 8x SFP+ 10G, 8x SFP28 25G and 16x QSFP28 100G ports — double the port count of the PA-5440 — deliver 180 Gbps App-ID throughput, 125 Gbps Threat Prevention and 110 Gbps IPsec VPN, for 32,000,000 sessions. Governance is ensured by PAN-OS, Strata Cloud Manager and Panorama.
The PA-5445 differentiates itself from the PA-5440 through its 16x QSFP28 100G ports, making it the preferred choice for MSSPs managing multiple customers on a single chassis or SD-WAN platforms aggregating large numbers of high-velocity encrypted tunnels.
