The Fortinet FortiGate FG-1800F is a 2U next-generation firewall built for data centres and enterprise network cores. It features 4 x 40GE QSFP+ slots, 12 x 25GE SFP28/10GE SFP+ ports, 8 x GE SFP ports and 16 x GE RJ45 ports, offering versatile multi-speed connectivity. Performance reaches 198 Gbps raw firewall throughput, 11 Gbps NGFW, 13 Gbps IPS and 65 Gbps IPSec VPN, with a latency of 4 µs. Two onboard 1 TB NVMe SSDs provide local storage running FortiOS.
The FG-1800F targets large enterprises and telecom operators processing massive volumes of encrypted traffic: it supports 12 million concurrent sessions, 750,000 new TCP connections per second and up to 100,000 VPN tunnels.
