The HPE Aruba JL659A is a 1U access switch offering 24 class 4 1G PoE+ ports and 4 25G SFP28 uplinks, with a throughput of 176 Gbps. Its 370 W PoE budget distributed across 24 ports allows a generous per-port power allocation, suitable for Wi-Fi 6 access points or the latest-generation IP phones. AOS-CX provides full L2/L3 management, and optional integration with Aruba Central simplifies remote administration.

The JL659A targets mid-sized deployments on a single floor or in a secondary building, where 24 PoE connection points are sufficient. Compared to the JL665A which shares the same architecture, the JL659A belongs to a distinct series with a slightly different positioning under certain HPE purchasing programs.
